Dr. Jack Spector has been a practicing clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist for more than 30 years. He received his doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Louisville. Dr. Spector completed specialty internship and post- doctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and has directed neuropsychological services and post-doctoral training at several military and civilian medical centers in Washington DC, Germany, Maryland, and Virginia. He has served as an active duty Army and Department of Defense neuropsychologist in Frankfurt, Germany and at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Dr. Spector was the chief neuropsychologist and co-principal investigator for the Defense and Veterans Head Injury Program, and directed the Army’s neuropsychological efforts at evaluating and treating service members claiming the aftereffects of traumatic brain injuries and alleged toxic exposures during the first Gulf War.

Dr. Spector was board certified by the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology (American Board of Professional Psychology) in 1992, and served on the board of directors for the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology.

Dr. Spector was a faculty member at the University of Maryland, Georgetown University Medical School, the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), and the University of North Carolina- Charlotte. Dr. Spector is licensed to practice psychology in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and Michigan, and holds the Interjurisdictional Practice Certificate from the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB), permitting temporary practice in an additional 34 states.

Dr. Spector has offices in Baltimore, Maryland, Alexandria, Virginia, and Charlotte, North Carolina.
